Title: "Mornings"
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Word Count: 2, 528
Author: KIK
Rating: most definitely work-safe fluff
Disclaimer: The characters in this story are not mine, belong to WB, DC and company. Shame, really.
Author's Note: for Alison (acampbell), one of my guides and first friends in to the SV fandom. Thank you for your kindness and friendship! I'm an amateur at best, a fool at the worst, so please no high hopes for the words to follow. Just a bit of happy for my pal as a reminder that the CLex banner waves strongly and proudly still. *G* I'll try my best to post a short diddy every day, any suggestions, even just quotes, items that pop in to your minds, lyrics ... whatever, toss them my way as prompts and I shall work from there. My brother said 'mornings' and this is the result ....
Feedback: Always welcome and very much appreciated.

Author's Note: *GLOMPS* everyone for your wonderfully inspiring and heart warming feedback. I see there are a few more ppl I need to get back to but I promise I will. Thank you, thank you so much for your words. Terribly sorry about the delay, RL is a bit of an annoyance. :) Also, had no idea how much harder it is to clean up something that's essentially written than it is starting from scratch. This chap feels a bit forced and I've left a few things hanging, but that will all hopefully come together in the final chapters. Enjoy, hopefully!*G*

Author's Note: Umm … have no idea where this came from. Thank you to all the wonderful people who left comments for my previous attempts at fiction. Special thanks goes out to mahaliem, carolandtom, sinisterf, norwich36, hils and a double smooch to talitha78 for without whom I may have run back to lurkdom. I hope I don't embarrass any of you terribly with this attempt at fiction.

I'm SQUEEEEEEEEEING with joy! Thank you SO much for your gift.
I don't know why or how someone goes about doing something like this but ... Your act of generosity has completely flummoxed me. I'm not used to random acts of kindness ... you've seriously broken my brain.
Thank you .... thank you an infinite number of times.
*Blushing* I actually had to ask mahaliem and norwich what it meant when I got the alert from Lj informing me of what you'd done. I can't manipulate pics, not even if my life, more importantly, your life depended on it. I'm that useless, best I can manage is getting a pic copied from one place to another. *sheepish*
So I shall offer you what I've been tinkering with of late and that is a college fic. I saw your most recent post in regards to kiki's manip ... I can either give you a little piece of fluff inspired by the image or something that's been festering in my mind for awhile that I can deliver on a chapter by chapter basis. Entirely up to you.
Thank you, I'm going to keep saying it until you get sick of hearing it. Totally threw me for a loop. Completely, entirely unexpected.
I am humbled.
*Huge Hugs*

Title: “First Snow”
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Rating: work safe
Disclaimer: The characters in this story are not mine, belong to WB, DC and company. Shame, really.
Warning: Unbetaed, would greatly welcome any willing volunteers though! :)
Author's Note: Started this during the first snowfall this winter but lost my inspriation for it. I saw the ep where Fine infects Martha last night, at the end Clark tells her that she's his heart, his soul. It was sweet and helped finish this short piece of fluff.

Author's Note: This is dedicated to ladydreamer and beloved. The former because I threatened her with it and the latter because she was the one who got me in this deep into this fandom to begin with. {eg} Also, fair warning, all my stuff is unbetaed, so if anyone is willing to offer some assistance ... I shall bow to you in gratitude. :) Inspired by a very shitty thing that happens to women across the world …

Sadly, the idiot and complete nincompoop that I am, I've lost the note pad that I wrote down the links/artists of those whom should actually be credited for these works.
I am searching the net for them, but if anyone of you happen to know to whom they do belong to or it belongs to you, please just zip me a post or email and I promise to give you the proper aknowledgements.
Additionally, where exactly am I to add where an icon came from? For my previous one, I wrote it in the description for my icon when I downloaded it from my desktop but the copyright didn't appear anywhere, so ... ?
Sorry for being such a pest. *blushes*
Thank you!

Title: no title yet, anyone have any suggestions?
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Word Count: WIP
Author: KIK
Rating: Adult Content, some time in the distant future
Disclaimer: The characters in this story are not mine, well most of them won't be, not the most important ones like the CLex. I wouldn't even be playing them if the WB would use them responsibly. I mean come on, 2 gorgeous ppl like this with all that unresolved chemistry and you waste. Waste. Sigh.
Summary: AU, Kryptons landed on Earth, have settled in and live independently and freely of humans for the most part. Until, Kal'El changes things.
Author's Note: Okay completely random, I'm kinda on pain meds and I got all hyper and chatty, more so than usual with my colleague and they left. So I had nothing to do b/c I don't trust myself to do the work that needs to be done until I've reached some semblance of sanity so I started typing and this is what popped out. Well this is what popped out that made the most sense. So here it is. The thing is, this is probably the only thing of any true substance that I've shared with anyone but Beloved, who totally rocks by the way (one of the kindest ppl I have had the pleaure to meet), so really I have no clue if it's any good. If I'm any good at this writing stuff. So, if it sucks, please don't hold back. Toss those words at me, but if by some small miracle it is actually good, that's being too generous, if it is something that you find of some miniscule interest. Please tell me so. I'll keep writing if you tell me to and will stop when you tell me to. No feedback is pretty much the same thing as saying go away, but more politely so for those of you whom don't leave anything, thank you too! :o) ... Talk to everyone soon! kik

Our Deepest Fear
by Marianne Williamson
from A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others."

Not quite yet where I'm at but it is in several places across the globe, including where I once called home. So to my British mates, I raise my Earl-Grey to you, to those few whom can stomach it and to the rest of you lot ... Starbucks will do. :o)
I'm not going to bother with reflectoins or resolutions, since the former will have me starting off the new year in tatters and the latter will be a sure way to shoot myself in the foot for the coming months. Take each day as it comes, I say. Trite and worn the saying may be, but wise and sensible.
All I wish for, for myself and my loved ones ... the entire world even ... is contentment. I think Lex had it right, happiness can come and go, it can be false and superficial but true contentnment is hard to come by but once its in your grasp, just as hard to lose. It seeps in to every bit of you and everything around you. So that's what I wish for the world at large and all its inhabitants. That each day even if it does not bring you joy, brings you contentment; a sense of accomplishment and worth, filled with no regrets.
My parting words shall be ... we are all capable of great and good things, the challenge is often not whether we can manage one or the other at any given time but in accomplishing both at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive.
A good and great year to you in all aspects of your life.
Much luv,
Kathryn Isabella Kent

I'm not sure what to throw out there to the world wide web at large ... we'll start with a bit of truth. I have joined LJ mainly because of a newly developed obsession of mine that I've been trying, mightily hard I must add, to not let become one. Sadly, I have proven to not be strong enough.
To those of you, whom may not know, there is this thing called SLASH, completely threw me for a loop it did. It's about male on male loving. Which I've never had any issues with, but I stumbled across fanfic, marvelously brilliantly written fanfic ... slash ... that involved Lex Luthor and Clark Kent.
I grew up adoring Superman and consequentially despising Lex Luthor. Mind you, Lex Luthor from the comic books, cartoons and "Lois Lane & Clark Kent: Adventures of Superman" starring Dean Cain did not look like the Lex Luthor from Smallville.
Though the friendship reeled me in to this new take on an old mythos, the very idea that it wouldn't last long made my soft heart leave the show behind at the first signs of trouble. I admit this ashamedly to all those who will witness it.
But one night, home sick and wanting to procrastinate on studying I randomly googled something in relationship to Smallville and found myself reading page after page of something I'd not ever imagined. I was appalled at first. Not because this was a relationship between men but because this was bloody Lex Luthor, mortal enemy of Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman. I was just getting used to the possibility of this man having been a friend when I'm hit with the CLex whammy.
It appears to be an incurable hit. I've been hooked.
I'm an avid reader, started reading before I could quite control my legs properly and I can assure you that I've rarely come across novels that have enraptured me as some of these stories have. Truly skilled authors out there whom for whatever reason don't have their stuff published, because I'm certain if they can do wonders with a tale this old and weighty, with the expectations and characters so well developed allowing for such little wiggle room ... I can not even imagine the beauties they could produce left to their own devices.
I'm not sure if I've said too much, too little, or the entirely wrong thing(s) ... but if any author from SV happens across this page I thank you. I thank you for allowing me the guilty pleasure that is CLex ... for providing me with something that is entirely for me during my tea break. With a world that's all about rushing through one thing or another I greatly appreciate my CLex breaks that allow me to stop and smell the roses.
To you, Smallville and all other fandom authors out there ... I raise my Starbucks.
Cheers,
KIK
